College & Departmental Scholarships
Departments
While the Entering Freshman
and Continuing & Transfer
scholarship applications are intended to be comprehensive, all-inclusive
applications for UT Austin scholarships for undergraduates, some academic
departments still administer independent college or departmental scholarships that require
separate applications.
Criteria
Criteria for scholarship selection varies from department to department,
and from year to year. It is important to note that while academics are
considered in scholarship awarding, it is only one of many criteria used
in the selection of scholarship recipients. Other common criteria include
financial need, work history, and honors and distinctions. There is no
overall minimum in any category that applies uniformly to all academic
departments. You should contact your college or department to request
any available applications, and to obtain all necessary information
regarding requirements and deadlines.
Graduate Students
Graduate students interested in fellowships, scholarships, Teaching or Research
Assistantships should contact their graduate academic departments for information.
Please refer to the Office of Graduate Studies
web site for information. You can also visit our Fellowships
and Teaching Assitantships
pages for additional information.
